'Bloggers Care'

Later today, Kadi Prescott will be guest blogging on Mommy Confessions. I had mentioned previously that Kadi and her family appeared on an episode of Supernanny earlier this year. Another family who appeared on Supernanny earlier this year were the Terrill family. The father, James Terrill, went on the show in an attempt to reign in his boys, and be a better father in light of the fact that he was raising his children on his own, and had a chronic and painfully debilitating medical condition.

On July 4th, sadly and most tragically, James Scott Terrill took his own life. He leaves behind his two young sons, Lane Joseph Terrill and James Tate Terrill. You can read more about the Terrill tragedy here.

This has left so many people devastated. The Terrill family is, I am sure, beyond comfort. The families and community surrounding the Supernanny show have all been deeply effected as well. Many bloggers have also voiced sadness and compassion. Wouldn't it be nice if we could show how much bloggers care? That is why myself, along with Kadi Prescott, who has set up a fund for people to donate money to the surviving children of James Terrill, and Shauna Callaghan, who designed the logo and button for the campaign, give you "Bloggers Care". On my right sidebar there is a button with a code for you to grab and take it with you back to your own site. This button links to a Paypal account that has been set-up for the boys, Lane and Tate.

Please donate any amount that you can. And please take the button back to your site. You can put a link back here to this post if you'd like. If you put the button up, please let me know. Not that we should need a reason to be kind, but anyone who puts the button up and tells me about it, will get a special mention in a link list at the top of my blog next week, and be eligiable to win a one year subscription to Kiwi magazine, compliments of Mommy Confessions.

Oh wait, did I mention that the person who donates the most via the Paypal site will win a one hour phone consultation with Supernanny Jo Frost!!! Yeah, pretty awesome huh? I'd better go donate. You've read some of my posts. I could use it.

So, go and be kind. Imagine what those poor boys have ahead of them. Part with a days Starbucks money. It will make a huge differance to them.
